In my work, I find myself still visiting our connection as women with water. Our spirituality and my own journey of finding myself. Also, discover those elements that connect and energise me. This painting came to me when I was lying in the water on a warm, sunny afternoon. That feeling of letting go totally relaxed in my mind. Loosing, myself to the above. Those precious moments when you let yourself totally go, mind, body, and soul and relax, connect. You allow yourself to drift away, submerged in the tranquillity of the water. Purification of mind and body together in harmony.

She is someone who came into your life when you needed them most. She simply changed your perspective on life. She is someone you can always count on, and you know they will be there to listen to you vent and who brings out the real in you

This painting was inspired by a trip to Bali last year. This beautiful country was full of stunning landscapes, the mist, rising off the paddy fields in the morning and the serenity of the mountains was breathtaking. The Balinese people are both Hindus and Buddhists and pray in beautiful temples scattered around the island. I was amazed by these wonders and their strong faith.

Several times a day before prayer, they would place these beautiful little floral offerings down outside their houses to give gratitude, and thanks.

I fell in love with this ritual, such a beautiful gesture in appreciation of life.
